DoSomething (also known as DoSomething.org) is an international nonprofit organization
that aims to inspire and engage young people to create positive change in the world, both
online and offline, through various campaigns. The organization is led by CEO DeNora Getachew.

History
The organization was co-founded in 1993 by American actor Andrew Shue and his childhood friend
Michael Sanchez. They stated their motivation was to encourage young people to become active
citizens and leaders while also making community involvement fun.

Overview
DoSomething.org inspires millions of young people to make positive
changes, both online and off. The organization has members in every area code in the United States
and across 131 countries.

In 2013, DoSomething.org launched TMI, a strategy consultancy that helps brands drive social change
through insights and creative solutions backed by data from millions of young people.

As one of the largest nonprofits exclusively for young people and social change, DoSomething has activated
millions of young people in every U.S. area code and 189 countries to take action to improve their communities.

Together, DoSomething members participate in our campaigns and programs to take action on causes
that impact them and their communities.
